Nintendo Light Blue Yarn Yoshi Amiibo - Super Smash Bros Series Collectible Figure for Nintendo Switch & Wii U - Perfect for Gaming Display & Gift Giving

I got this for the Wii U for Yoshi's Wooly World. In the game you don't get access to light blue Yoshi until you bear the game so I got this amiibo to access that color sometimes and to play as two Yoshi's at once in a level.I have to say that controlling two Yoshi's with one controller is a pain and actually leads to more frustration in the game than fun. But really I got him because he was cute. My daughter took a liking to him and I have had to buy 3 of these now because she takes each one I get. Now I have 2 green ones and a blue one. She has the green and blue while I have the other green.They can also be used in Yoshi's Crafted World for the Switch. When loaded they show up under the costumes and have the same amount of protection that you would get from the "Super Rare" costumes you usually get from the vending machines in that game. I like playing with the wool Yoshi amiibo costume in Crafted World because it reminds me of that game. Both games are great and these amiibo work in both.And they're adorable little decorations when you're not using them to add a second Yoshi to your Wooly World game or accessing a Yoshi color you haven't unlocked yet, or using as a costume. One thing about these in Wooly World is that you have to have them on hand with you when you enter a level to have the amiibo Yoshi join you. The game (Wooly World) knows you've registered these amiibo and lets you change your Yoshi color by visiting the amiibo tent but the only way to get a second Yoshi in a level is to tap the physical character on the Wii U game pad while playing. So if you have a kid who wants to play with these just know you'll have to take it away from them for a second to load your Yoshi into the level then give it back to them if you choose to do the 2 Yoshi in a single level thing.
