There have been so many games that have been involving fighting, or killing each other for enjoyment. Yet, there have been very few alternative games that have been about relaxing and testing yourself. That has been the case with the Nintendo Wii as alternative games. Still, the Nintendo Wii has had some really very influential video games over the years. While so many are seeking to see what Nintendo is going to have its next system for gamers waiting in the wings with the Wii U. But the big question is that will Nintendo deliver in its stride for the next system. Mostly it will be a definitive yes. But there are some games out for the Wii that are still worth their money. Some have delivered well, but others needed improvement.Deepak Chopra's Leela is a nice alternative game for the Nintendo Wii that helps you relax and stimulate the mind that handles mostly well. However, there is some things that could've needed improvement. The game helps you relax through 7 different games that can test your mind, and move your Wii-mote through 7 different levels of simple games. They will help you from shooting balls to make a ice ceiling, to helping make a planet turn green and plant new trees and breathe new life. The graphics are good, but overall it is the music that takes the spotlight, with celestial and spiritual tones that make it worth while. The control of the game is very simple and easy to master. But overall, there could be more to play. While you do get 40 levels of gameplay, there could've been more mini-games that could've enhanced your relaxation. Also, I did wish that there could've been more use in the game with the Wii Balance Board, to match the gameplay as strongly as the Xbox 360's Kinnect have shown with balance and excitement.Despite more that could've been made, Deepak Chopra's Leela is not a bad game. It is more of a exercise that can help you unwind with simple gameplay. It has shown a few nice tricks through its sleeves, but you really could've gotten more with its price. It has a good price to play with, but overall more should've been added. It is a good alternative to stressful games that test you, but overall could've been more for its money. Still, if you want a game with a change of pace, try Deepak Chopra's Leela.Graphics: BSound: A-Control: BFun & Enjoyment: C+Overall: B-Wii is easy and calm. Use my brain too keeping moving energetic.I read all of the reviews before I decided to get this game. I too, like Deepak Chopra and I was excited to find this game. Some reviews said they got more and more frustrated with each level and found they had to make wild movements to get the game to work.I didn't find that to be the issue for me at all. I have found this to be a very relaxing game and I feel calm and centered after playing it.There is a playing mode and and reflection mode for meditation. On the play mode each level is centered on the chakras starting at the root chakra and moving up. You have a planet that rotates and from the center comes a colored spore that gives birth to a tree or mushroom. Before you start the level you see your mandala begin to pulse in and out and set you breathing to this rhythm, this is also the same rhythm for the remote for the side to side motion to rotate the planet. And each level progresses in this manner. The point is to cultivate relaxation, the more relaxed you are the easier it is to play the game. I have noticed that when I play other games I don't get so riled up and I can stay calm and relaxed which does make it easier to play and retry a level without frustration. Good tool for the rest of life as well.Knowing this helps to keep the focus in the game. Once you have gone through the play levels on all the chakras the free style meditation is unlocked, otherwise if you choose the reflection side you have only the guided meditation that is unlocked. I have found these to be very helpful to start my practice again. I sit in a regular chair not on the floor. If I sit on the floor I use a pillow folder over to get the height and stability needed. I find it works just as well.I am pleased with this game and I continue to use it since I am gaining great benefit from it in all areas of my life. To help me relax I have incorporated an adrenal support that aids in relaxation and have found this has helped immensely.I have owned this game for about a week and I really enjoy it. I have read the reviews about how some were disappointed ith the lack of full body movements. I agree somewhat with the other reviewers, but I think that it would probably be a little difficult to design the game to do that. I think that the "Play and Movement" sequence of the game is to just be an interactive part that makes the game more interesting than just meditation. My favorite and most challenging part of this game so far has been the sacral chakra...aka"Life" where you use the needle to gather seeds and connect eggs to the nest. I learned from the interaction with the game that you have to just relax and go with the flow and not try and force things to happen (Often times what I try and do in real life). Then the parasites on one of the other levels try and come and eat away at your energy and you have to avoid being near them...(just like what energy vampires do in real life....SO AVOID ENERGY VAMPIRES). I also like how at the end of each level completed, it gives you some of the universal laws in which to meditate on and apply to your life. You can save your profile and go back to each level of either guided meditation or silent mediation. Once you have completed all levels of play under "Play" then you can play sequences, complete oracles, etc. Lot's to do and very challenging, which is the way it should be. I really like this game and recommend it to anyone interested in meditation or an interactive approach to meditation.ExcellentThe meditation sections are good for a beginner, building up from some very basic concepts. The games are fairly simple in concept, some transcendental twists on some common gaming skills. It likely won't keep someone very engaged for too long so unless Deepak snuck some easter eggs in there for the random gaming nerd who also likes to be at one with the universe, the rest of us are likely to be at peace with never reaching the end (if there is in fact one to be had). Truth be told, this program would have made a great app with a few tweaks. For now, it will ride the chakra of mediocrityLela is a fun game. Different mini games and levels that are beautiful and contemplative. I have not finished the game, but enjoy playing the different levels which get increasingly more complex. I haven't found it terribly difficult, which is nice. I like this game more as a relaxing meditative game then a challenging game. I also like Endless Ocean: Blue World for relaxing game play.We love it ...so this one was a gift. We've been told that the gifter became addict ;)nice play and meditation mode, not too difficult for beginners to do this. Even your child will like it a lot
