was not what I liked.I think alot of people getting this game expected to bowl awesome right off the bat. The game isnt designed that way. You start out as a newbie league bowler with the worst ball and skills. Some mentioned that timing with the bowler animation is off. Its a little confusing but you are really supposed to be throwing in time with the avatar, not vice versa Everything with the way you hold and move the remote matters... everything. From the timing of release, speed and any angle you hold the ball. Its very touchy and you wont see it get any easier until your stats go up. My stats went up after I won 3 league games. It got better and easier to control the ball with each stat increase. The game remembers your actions, so if you are consistant through your league games you will see improvment in accuracy and control as you progress, just be patience and get through your first league, you will see. I bowled a 300 on my 5th league round with a house ball... but I also have a 195 average in real life so that helped me figure out this game's mechanics very easily. All in all, if u have the patience, this game is very rewarding in the long run.Sadly the multiplayer is pretty lame, that is its only drawback for me. I dont recommend this as a family group game, in that regard the game is awful, but single player career mode is excellent. This is the greatest bowling game I've ever played, and I've played PLENTY! After only 2 days, I rolled a couple of deuces (I carry a 195 average in real bowling). Took a while to get the hang of the setup/aim/bowl functions, but once I did I was rockin' & rollin'. The trick is to try not to duplicate the way you bowl in real life while playing the game. Just find a spot on the approach for your strike ball (you'll have to try a few before you find the right one), don't adjust the white aim line (let the white line stay at its default location) and experiment with different downswing speeds. Once you find the right downswing speed, you'll be hitting the pocket with greater consistency. I noticed that the faster your swing, the more the ball will hook, so be mindful of that. But the game is very much like real bowling in the sense that it's not very easy to repeat the same 'exact' swing speed over & over (unless you're a robot) and you have to make adjustments for lane breakdown and fatigue as the games wear on,..... just like real bowling!!!! In a word, it's AWESOME!!!!!It was defective. Supposed to have been a new disc but was heavily scratched. When we returned the disc We were told another one would be sent. Did not happen he said they didn’t have it. Very disappointed. This was for our grandsons who are trying to learn to bowl.I just received my game today and even though the game instructions are in French it took me about 20 minutes to figure out how the Wiimote controls the game.If you are not an avid bowler or bowled alot in your younger years as I did I would not recommend this game and stick to Wii Sports bowling. It took me about 10 games to find out how to throw the ball with the existing lane conditions. I bowled one "League night" series and averaged only 84. Went to the practice game and rolled 222. I'm now ready to go back into match play and enjoy this game.It doesn't move fast but I have all the time in the world being retired. This is not a game to buy if you are a rel life bowler, or spend any time at all bowling. Have only had the game for a few days, and spent maybe 2 hours playing, so maybe it gets better. Not going to waste my time with it though. I'm a 220 average bowler on real lanes, about 190 on Wii sports, have been bowling for over 20 years, and I've never seen ball reactions like this. For instance, standing at the 5 board, adjust aiming to the 15, throw it either hard or slow, and 1 of 3 things will happen: the ball will skid into the right gutter about half way down the lane (or you might get lucky and pick the 10), you'll hit the pocket for a strike (or 9 pins), or it'll end up in the left gutter. With the beginning oil pattern, there is no way to get a plastic house ball to hook as much as this one will. Standing on the extreme left, aiming for the gutter, the ball won't even cross the middle arrow before its hooking into the left gutter. Impossible in the real world, unless you had an old blue Hammer sanded down throwing slow and revving hard. Bowl 2 games of league play, and by the start of the 3rd, the fatigue light will show up. Please. Where's the virtual beer to make that happen? Maybe this game gets better, but I doubt it. Am playing as I write this, and just threw 5 strikes in a row that never should've happened. Have no idea how, since I was moving position and aiming with each shot. Forget about picking up a 10 pin also, not gonna happen. Couch bowlers, you might have fun and it's only $20 +/-. Real bowlers, use the money on league night or practice games. This is a fun game, once you get the hang of which way you are supposed to swing your arms when you actually go to bowl (Hold down the B button and swing up forward first and back and forward again, in a bowling motion and then release.). It's funny how you can go fast and even "granny slow," as my child did playing around. It was good for laughs, watching the character slowly, gently glide the ball down the lane. My family has really had a good time with this game!Bought it used on Amazon and it was worth the price.Nice game but hard to learn how to properly play. I purchased for my child and wasn’t happy.received quickly, used but good condition and works as expectedParfait pour des soiree en famille . Competition amicale BRAVOHorrible 3rd person bowling. Bowling on Wii Sports Resort is 100 times better.Great game
