Combining the 1 vs. 1,000 action of DYNASTY WARRIORS with the addition of tactical elements, DYNASTY WARRIORS 9 Empires sets players on a quest to conquer ancient China by combining the use of strategy and sword. Key Features: Storming the Castle - Areas around castles now turned into battlefields, skirmishes evolve into “Storming the Castle” encounters, with players battling to take control of the castle. Siege Battles with Troops - Players are able to utilize troops in order to invade the enemy's base, taking advantage of siege weapons while giving instructions to them during battle. Decisive Battle - Once players break through an enemy's gate, they will enter and can claim victory after defeating the commander. Secret Plans - Selected in the battle preparation phase will now be activated as missions during battles, with each “Secret Plan” having its own conditions for success and failure.

I thought this would be like Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce, the only other Dynasty Warriors game I've played, in that you would choose an empire, pick a character from that empire, and then go on missions. I was looking forward to doing stuff with Cao Cao and the warriors of the Wei Empire for the first time in years. But, unfortunately, I've been denied. Yeah, you can make Wei officers your allies, but the game isn't anything like what I thought it would be. Instead, you choose a time period, then pick a character. From what I've gathered so far, it seems your goal is to build an army and simply dominate the land or help someone else do it. As it stands, I've only played the Yellow Turban Rebellion. The first time I defeated Zhang Jiao, I thought I cleared the story, but I was proven wrong. My only other complaint is that this game has no English voice-acting. There's English text, but no English voice-acting. I seriously wonder why this game doesn't have English voice acting when Dynasty Warriors games before it did have English voice-acting.I'd like to point that, although I am disappointed that I didn't get what I was hoping for, I do admit I have had some fun with what I did get. The battles. I've had fun with those. The battles are certainly enjoyable.I loved thr dynasty warriors games for the ps3, and haven't played a Dynasty warriors game in over a few years. I thought this new game for the Switch would be like the old Dynasty Warriors, but with better graphics, story line, game play, etc.Nope, this game felt foreign. Even the characters felt different, and not in a good way. Lu Bu's character was disappointing.I tried to like this game, and tried to understand this game. But no, it's just to boring, loads take forever, and nothing like the original Dynasty.the case was cracked its playable but product should be shipped with bubble wrap.Came several days late a case bent. Then there's the no co-op bought two copies to play co-op with family.I usually play Dynasty Warriors on XBOX or PS4, I was really glad when I found that there's a Nintendo switch option. I think it's great and totally worth it.
