Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War - the first Horseman of the Apocalypse - stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth. Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible. Hunted by a vengeful group of Angels, War must take on the forces of Hell, forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he hunts, and journey across the ravaged remains of the Earth on his quest for vengeance and vindication.
Native 1080p rendering, fully reworked and improved graphics, and 30 FPS gameplay

This is such a weird release. We got Darksiders II on the Wii U as a released title and now this is a remastered version of Darksiders 1. So if I put my Wii U games in chronological release order, I can put Darksiders II as the first game and Darksiders 1 as the last game... It's not a bad game. It runs pretty well on the Wii U. It's so late in the Wii U's cycle that it's hard to tell people they need to buy this. Few are desperate for more Wii U games at this point. But if you are looking for one last Wii U action game, it's a great value at $20.If you are looking for one last hurrah on the Wii U, this is a complete action game. It's not a half finished game. It's got a good length to it. The graphics look great for the Wii U. The 30 frames per second is acceptable, and I don't see any of the frame tearing I saw for the PS3/360. I think it runs at 720p and there is no antiailiasing, but it looks good in motion. This was originally a PS3/360 game, but the warmastered version came out for the PS4/XB1 first. Here you get the improved textures from the PS4/XB1 version but not the 60 frames per second. That's the most disappointing part since the back of this box says "60 frames per second" in big letters. It must have been a mistake on the box, because this is not 60 frames per second. For a Wii U game, it has good graphics and a pretty stable frame rate. But the PS4/XB1 version certainly looks and plays better. If this would have come out full price, I would have probably given it three or maybe 4 stars. But it's a five star budget release in my mind. I bought it more than anything to complete my Wii U collection, but it's a pretty good game too. If you've moved on, it's not worth coming back to the Wii U for this. But if you want one last Wii U game, this is one last Wii U game.
